So we made it back home but driving home was harder than driving there. We had the excitement to help us along when we went down. Coming home we were tired and a little sad. I had to drive in Oregon which is the worst stretch in my opinion: Very curvy, lots of passes to go up and down and construction(LOVED the 20 miles where there was no dividers between the two lanes of traffic). I almost took out a huge orange cone-barrel thing, veered into the river(well that's a bit of an exaggeration) and got slap happy which made it hard to keep my focus (THANKS mom!). When we finally found a place open in OR for us to have breakfast...it wasn't open to use the bathroom. I sat in the car for 10 minutes just focusing on anything other than going to the bathroom.
Let's see what else....OH we stopped in Ellensburg about 2 hours from home to get brunch because it was about 5:30 am when we stopped last to eat. It took 45 FREAKING minutes for Burger King to get the dang food to us. I was so tired I couldn't argue. At least it was hot. Then there was the traffic to get over Snoqualmie Pass because everyone was coming home and it's two lanes until right before the pass. We got home and just crashed. But not for long because we have to pack the whole house in 3 days in order to move this weekend. YAY for a non-eventful week in the McDavis home.
Probably won't blog again till after "moved in" but there will be some awesome shots from the trip. Here are the verbal highlights: Snow Canyon - gorgeous red rock! Rachel and her mom's lip gloss all over her body - HILARIOUS! The kids playing with Eric - precious (he will be such a good daddy!!)
We find out Monday the gender of the baby so I will probably blog that announcement from work. Love you all - See you soon!
