My Grandpa passed away last night, peacefully with his family around him. He has led a full life and he was a good man. He has been sick with various aliments for a while, but the past year has been increasingly hard as he battled lymphoma. And then the last few months really took a turn for the worse. I cannot be overly sad because it's good that his suffering is ended. But I am sad that Mary has to be without her husband for a time and that my mom (and his other children) don't have their father anymore in this life.
I will miss him deeply but I am glad he is finally at peace and in a place where he doesn't suffer. I am sure he has found a great bench and is just waiting for his wife Mary to join him. Just make sure you picture his cowboy boots, as he always had them on.
I am so glad that Eric got to meet him a few weeks ago when we went to SoCal for the 4th of July. It was good to have him know first hand what a great man my Poppy Cream was, and will always be. You should also look at my sister's blog for a great picture of him and another fitting tribute.
I love you Poppy Cream.

A very nice tribute, Kylee. Death truly is bittersweet--we miss the ones we love for now, but know that they are also now pain-free and are in a much better place. My heart is with you and your family as you grieve for your beloved grandfather. You know you can give me a call if you ever need to. Love you,
Jenny
